Children’s Worship and Wonder
Sundays 11:15-12:00 noon
Children’s Worship Center
This is an exciting way of approaching faith formation with children. It recognizes children as spiritual beings, who already have a relationship with God, and the children learn about God as they experience God. At Community children as young as three years old hear and see Bible stories using visual objects in a way that allows them to enter into the stories and form responses out of their own life experiences. They also learn the meaning of church traditions and participate in worship practices. It is a Montessori influenced program that is effective with all types of children. Currently the Children Worship and Wonder program is offering training for people who wish to become Storytellers. The training can be done on an individual basis. Call the Church office for more information. This program is for children ages 3-3rd grade.
Inquiring Minds is an opportunity for children in grades 4-7, who are invited to meet as a group during the Sunday worship service homily. They then return to the Sanctuary during the Communion hymn to participate in the rest of the service.
Community Christian Youth Group meets every Sunday directly after church and is for Grades 1-12.
Next Meeting of East Valley Youth: Stay tuned for monthly event updates!
